When Johan biked across Europe to Africa, he often looked at the guys kayaking the same route, and he remembered saying to himself that he was going to try that when we got home.
Well, Mount McKinley came up and he really didn’t get the time to practice until one day when his friends discussed Motivation and Focusing with him again. They got into an argument regarding Johan’s opinion on that anything can be done with a good motivation strategy.

They told him that even though he had learned how to play the piano, biked to Africa, and climbed the highest mountain in North America, it was still about luck and not just about focusing.
Johan told them about his new adventure, a kayak journey from Stockholm to Africa. They said it was impossible since nobody had ever done it before. Johan was shocked. Just because nobody has ever done it, does that mean it’s impossible?

He started to picture things that never would have happened if people were thinking like that; penicillin, the internet, walking on the Moon! So many things that never would have been invented if you think like that.

He thought, ” What do I have to lose? And guess what? For 180 days, 5500 km, and 2.7 million strokes with the paddle, I was in Africa!”
Again, the impossible had become possible!
